The NISMO Z retains its same interior and the tuned twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine, producing an estimated 420 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque.

The car also features performance upgrades, including a limited-slip differential, stiffer suspension, and stronger brakes.

Nissan equips the NISMO Z with NISMO-tuned suspension, upgraded brakes, aggressive aero, and Recaro seats.

Nissan Expands NISMO Production and Returns to Its Roots

The Tokyo Auto Salon debut aligns with Nissan’s larger push to strengthen NISMO. The company plans to double its global NISMO lineup from 5 models to 10 and expand availability across more markets.

Nissan aims to raise annual NISMO shipments from roughly 100,000 units to 150,000 units by 2028, with overseas sales predicted to climb from about 40% to 60%.

Nissan also plans to collaborate with external partners to grow the NISMO business. Starting in fiscal year 2026, the company will introduce racing prototype vehicles to accelerate hardware and software development for both motorsports and future road cars.

NISMO Growth Ties Performance to Heritage and Restoration

Nissan sees growth opportunities in heritage and restoration programs. The global auto restoration market currently sits around $3.4 billion and is projected to exceed  $8 billion by 2032.

Nissan will expand its restoration, restomod, and parts sales businesses, starting with the Skyline GT-R R32, R33, and R34.
