The Sport Line focuses on elevating on-road models with precision handling and speed. The Trail Line brings rugged racing expertise to SUVs for better off-road capability. Both lines are heavily influenced by Honda Racing Corporation.

This internal division is taking a leading role in production car development by utilizing years of data from global racing series.

Engineers are working closely with professional race drivers to ensure that the feedback from the podium is directly applied to the street.

This initiative aims to expand the lineup of sport-type models across the entire catalog by leveraging HRC technologies and specialized manufacturing techniques.

This model serves as a rolling laboratory for upcoming HRC Performance Parts that owners may soon be able to purchase individually.

Honda Takes The Fight To Toyota And Nissan In Tokyo

The Tokyo Auto Salon 2026 has become a battlefield for Japanese performance brands. Toyota dominated headlines with live demonstrations of its new GR GT and GR GT3 flagship models.

Nissan also made waves by revealing a refreshed version of the Fairlady Z. The updated Z Nismo now offers a manual transmission to satisfy driving enthusiasts.

Honda is positioning itself right in the middle of this excitement by proving it can compete with both hybrid efficiency and raw racing pedigree.

With the Sport and Trail lines heading toward production, the brand is ensuring that its storied racing DNA remains a permanent fixture in the modern era.
